There are three good things about this hotel – (1) free Wi-Fi internet access that is amazingly fast; (2) it is near a very popular food chain; and (3) it is very affordable.

If you are in Tagaytay, this hotel is a very good option for the budget traveler. A room cost less than P 2,000.00 with buffet breakfast. There is a hot and cold shower, a flat-screen TV, built-in cabinets and the usual hotel toiletries. The room I stayed in was clean and orderly. Its split-type air-con appeared to be new and quiet enough to provide a relaxing sleep.

The room is equipped with a very reliable Wi-Fi. Guests who would like to access the internet either to visit Facebook, YouTube and other sites would not have a hard time looking for a signal. I had a very convenient time using the internet while trying to sleep. Other hotels that cost more than Tagaytay Haven have internet access only in the lobby.

I have tried their massage in the comfort of my room at P 300.00. It was worth it!  The massage is soothing and relaxing. I think I dozed off after the massage. I almost forgot where I was. The one-hour massage has really relaxed my body and mind. If given another chance to visit this hotel, I would again indulge myself in their relaxing massage.

Tagaytay Haven is conveniently located near establishments such as a drugstore and a grocery. It is just a few minutes drive to popular places in Tagaytay such as the Pagcor Casino, Sonya’s Garden, Puzzle Mansion, Breakfast at Antonio’s and the Residence Inn Zoo. Parking is not a problem. It is secure and can accommodate a large number of vehicles.

The hotel is also very accessible to different modes of public transportation.  Buses and jeeps regularly ply the route where Tagaytay Haven is located. It is easy to flag down a public utility vehicle and head towards Nasugbo or to Picnic Grove. With secure parking, guests can commute without worrying about their vehicle parked at this hotel. But of course, it is always best to take precaution. Do not leave valuables inside your car and make sure that your vehicle is locked.

The hotel is just behind Jollibee. It has an elevated walkway to this popular food chain. After having your fill of Tagaytay’s famous “bulalo”, the usual “favorites” in this food chain is a treat. I know, however, no one travels to Tagaytay just to eat at a fast food chain common in Metro Manila. Almost everyone goes to Tagaytay to taste something different.  While here, burgers, spaghetti and fries are out of the menu. It is time for bulalo, fried tawilis, kare-kare, crispy pata and something healthy like a fresh green salad. For the sake of the children who are on the trip, being near Jollibee not only brings immediate peace but is also a budget saver.

I have tried this famous beef stew at the “Green ATS Bulalohan and Restaurant” which offers a stunning view of the Taal Volcano. The dish was well prepared and delicious. As I savored this steamy dish while looking at the Tagaytay Volcano, I again appreciated those simple things in life. I again said to myself - we got to live the moment. Be thankful for those simple joys and relish it. It may never happen again.

It is always a plus point for any hotel to have a very friendly staff. After traveling for hours on the road, I expect a smiling face in front of the counter. A smile can easily alleviate the difficulties experienced by any traveler along the way. It was almost dinner when we checked in at this hotel. The staff appeared to be friendly. But, I was waiting for that smile to lessen my load. There was none. Apparently, they may be exhausted after a day's work.  They were very accommodating though.

I had a nice stay at this hotel. There is nothing more than the usual but those things you expect in a hotel are here.
